SPRINGDALE, Ark. — During a school board meeting on Tuesday, Springdale school leaders said the district is seeing a decline in enrollment for the 2025-26 school year.
Superintendent Jared Cleveland said Springdale Public Schools saw a loss of nearly 600 students since last school year, mirroring a growing trend in districts across the state.
On the 11th day of the 2024 school year, the district reportedly had 21,758 K-12 students. Cleveland said around 200 to 225 left the district by the end of the year, with most leaving after January 2025. By the 11th day of the 2025 school year, Cleveland said they had 21,204 students.
