JASPER COUNTY, Texas — A Jasper County deputy is uninjured after a crash involving a third-time DWI driver.

At 4:52 p.m., a Jasper County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a minor traffic collision with a pick-up truck at US 96 and FM 1007 in north Jasper County. The deputy and driver were not injured and both vehicles sustained minor damaged.

DPS arrived on scene and arrested the driver of the truck for DWI-3rd and transported him to the Jasper County Jail.

The crash is currently being investigated by Texas DPS.
