All United States and Delaware flags have been ordered to fly at half-staff through Sunday following the death of Conservative leader Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
Delaware Governor Matt Meyer said they followed the lead of President Trump, who ordered U.S. flags to half-staff until Sunday at 6 p.m.
“As Americans, we can and should be able to debate ideas vigorously without turning to violence, because violence is never the answer. Lauren and I are praying for the loved ones of Charlie Kirk, who are now faced with an unspeakable tragedy. We condemn these actions in the strongest possible manner," Meyer said in a statement.
Other Delaware leaders also reacted to Kirk's fatal shooting at a school in Utah.
