New research reveals that social media could cost people jobs and interviews and Gen Z (born between 1997 and 2012) is most at risk.
Indeed career expert Sally McKibbin said some don't seem to mind.
"While most Gen Z job seekers are aware of potential social media scrutiny by recruiters, many underestimate its impact," Ms McKibbin said.
Almost four in five recruiters (77 per cent) say they review social media accounts during the hiring process.
A staggering 96 per cent say they would reject someone based on what they had posted.
Global job site Indeed's study was based on a sample of 1557 Australian workers aged 18-64.
