HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Temperatures are warming above average today and through this weekend.

DISCUSSION:

Temperatures on Thursday are expected to feel summery, with highs reaching the low to mid-80s by the afternoon. In addition to these warmer-than-average temperatures, we can expect mostly sunny skies. There is a very slight chance of scattered showers in the afternoon for our southwestern counties only, including Wayne, Pulaski, McCreary, and Whitley; however, any rainfall accumulation will be minimal.

As we head into the last day of the work week, temperatures will rise even further, reaching the mid-80s. No rain is expected on Friday, and sunny skies will dominate in the afternoon.
