The Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro has secured another sizable grant to help build a new playground in the city.

The Kiwanis Children’s Fund, the fundraising arm of Kiwanis International, has granted the local chapter $23,000 for the project. Local News

The Waynesboro Kiwanis Club is raising funds for a playground in the Loth Springs area along the South River Greenway. Plans for the playground include a rubberized surface that allows wheelchair access and inclusive equipment that gives children of all abilities a chance to play.

The club has set a $175,000 fundraising goal for the project, a goal it is now nearing.
