Geelong coach Chris Scott and star midfielder Bailey Smith have both apologised to women who they aimed verbal outbursts at.

It was reported on Thursday evening Scott had brought an AFL staff member to tears after questioning the presence of accredited media person at a press conference following the Cats’ qualifying final win over Brisbane.

Scott called the staffer on Wednesday to apologise after Geelong CEO Steve Hocking spoke with league officials, according to Code Sports .
