ATLANTIC CITY — With sharp competition for limited dollars from cannabis consumers and no shortage of places to buy it, the city’s weed businesses may look to work together.

In August, the owners of several local cannabis businesses met at the offices of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority with representatives of several organizations to talk about the state of the cannabis industry in town and some ideas for what should happen next.

Before the meeting, owners of several licensed dispensaries agreed there were too many cannabis shops already and that the city ought to put limits on new approvals.
