NEWCASTLE's NRL stars and their partners emerged from a bruising 2025 campaign to celebrate the club's night of Knights at NEX on Thursday.
It had been a big season for the red and blue.
Despite a lack of on-field success, the club came together to hand out its highest honour, the Danny Buderus Medal.
The 2025 season was coloured by the highs of stand-in captain Dane Gagai's 300th NRL game, NRLW star Yasmin Clydsdale's 50th, and the public commitment of marquee player Kalyn Ponga through 2027 among other key signings.
Yet it also failed to deliver a finals berth and became coach Adam O'Brien's swansong.
The club earned its fourth wooden spoon in 11 years in the injury-plagued season, losing Ponga in round 17.
