NAPA, Calif. —

The FedEx Cup Fall season is starting this weekend at Silverado Resort in Napa, with top golfers including Scottie Scheffler and local talents competing as they prepare for the Ryder Cup.

"Everybody's excited to be here," Scheffler said. "This is something we looked at the calendar very early in the season about how we were going to get ready for the Ryder Cup and this has been circled there for a long time. We're excited to be here, excited to get ready."

Scheffler's presence is attracting an all-star cast, including NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, as he aims for his sixth win of the calendar year.

Meanwhile, other golfers like PGA hopeful Corey Pereira are just getting back into the swing of things.
