HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania lawmakers, Republican and Democrat, condemned political violence Wednesday following the murder of Charlie Kirk, a right-wing activist who rose to the public consciousness by vehemently defending conservative ideals through debate.
Kirk, 31, co-founded Turning Point USA at age 18, uniting a throng of conservatives young and old, in parallel with the rise of the Make America Great Again movement. His viewpoints invited fierce opposition during public discourse on gun rights, abortion, sexuality and the value of the nuclear family.
