The Akron NAACP, League of Women Voters of the Akron Area, National Pan-Hellenic Council Greater Akron and the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc., will host a forum for candidates vying for seats on the Akron Public Schools’ Board of Education.

The forum will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the auditorium of the Akron-Summit County Public Library, 60 S. High St., Akron. Carla Davis, immediate past president, Akron Press Club, and former marketing communications director for the Akron-Summit County Public Library, will serve as moderator. The nonpartisan event is free and open to the public.

Akron voters will be asked to select four of the eight candidates running to serve on the Board of Education for the Akron Public Schools when they vote in the Nov. 4 election.
