Tigers crush Yankees again, make history with back-to-back routs

The Detroit Tigers blew out the New York Yankees again last night in a 11-1 victory. What seemed to be a close matchup in the beginning saw the Tigers leading 3-0 through seven, ultimately scoring eight runs in the final two innings.

This was eerily similar to Tuesday's game, where Detroit scored 10 runs in the final three innings en route to a big victory.

Jack Flaherty pitched five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven. Riley Greene, Kerry Carpenter and Colt Keith all homered and accounted for seven of the team's 11 RBIs.

Adding Tuesday's 12-2 victory into the equation, these two games marked the first time since 1993 that Detroit has won consecutive games by double
