CHICAGO — Don’t let the Liberty’s fifth-place finish in the regular season fool you.

Sandy Brondello stands firm in her belief that the defending champions, when fully healthy, can be “really dangerous.”

“We have players … that complement our big three and that’s important for us,” Brondello said Tuesday. “I’m really confident. I think our players are really confident to just have our full group back.”

But the Liberty’s lackluster regular-season showing, marred by injuries, has positioned them for what’s sure to be a steep climb back to the mountaintop.
