CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The suspect in downtown Cincinnati’s “violent attack” who is accused of punching a woman in her face and knocking her out wants his $500,000 bond reduced, newly filed court records show.
Patrick Rosemond’s bond is “excessive,” “punitive,” and “grossly disproportionate to these charges. Bonds of this magnitude are ordinarily reserved for homicide cases or other offenses carrying the most severe penalties,” his attorney, Scott Rubenstein, wrote in a motion requesting a hearing.
Rosemond is requesting that his bond be lowered to $100,000, secured by 10%.
That means he could post $10,000 and be released from jail.
“This is a substantial figure, one that acknowledges the seriousness of the allegations, but also reflects fairness and practicality,” his lawyer wrote.
