Madrid-based company Chester Media is joining forces with Málaga’s Yolaperdono to produce documentary series “Los Chorys” (“The Chorys”), a project backed by Andalusian broadcaster Canal Sur Televisión.
“The Chorys” tells the story of a group of Spanish friends formed in the 1970s, a sort of the iconic Rat Pack, who dominated for three decades the nightlife of Marbella , southern Andalusia, one of the most ostentatious leisure centers for the worldwide jet set.
In pre-production, scheduled for delivery before the next year’s end, “The Chorys” structure suggests a business model widely used successfully for film and TV productions in Spain: A pan-regional co-production with backing from a regional public broadcaster.
