Flags around Iowa will remain at half-staff for multiple days in memory of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed in Utah on Sept. 10 .

The order from Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds coincides with another order for flags to be lowered from sunrise to sunset for Sept. 11 in memory of the terrorist attacks 24 years ago. Reynolds ordered all flags to be lowered on public grounds. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to do the same.
