DENVER (KDVR) — The two people killed in a small aircraft crash near Centennial Airport earlier this month have been identified by the Douglas County Coroner's Office.
The agency said that Perry "Matt" Feeney, 52, of Arvada, and Lee "Rob" Hill, 64, of Greenwood Village, were killed in the early Friday morning crash.
The aircraft, a Beech BE35, crashed and burst into flames under unknown circumstances, according to the National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating.
The plane hit the ground on the back side of a large warehouse on South Peoria Street, and the fire threatened a large generator and a nearby building. • Crews respond to aircraft crash near Centennial Airport (Courtesy of Douglas County Sheriff's Office) • Crews respond to aircraft crash near Centennial Air
