Elex Michaelson To Join CNN As Los Angeles Based Anchor

Elex Michaelson is joining CNN as Los Angeles based anchor, after departing Fox’s affiliate last month.

Michaelson will anchor weeknights from midnight to 2 a.m. ET/ 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. PT on CNN and in time zones around the world on CNN International starting this fall, the network said.

Michaelson has been a leading personality covering politics and public affairs in the Los Angeles market, creating and hosting The Issue Is with Elex Michaelson on KTTV . He also anchored coverage for KTTV, including of the January wildfires, civil unrest and mass shootings.
