Mika Brzezinski Chokes Up in Emotional Plea for Unity While Remembering 9/11

host Mika Brzezinski choked up as she made an emotional plea for national unity in the wake of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a segment remembering the 9/11 attacks.

The 24th anniversary of the attacks in New York City came just one day after Kirk was fatally shot at a speaking event in Utah, which had guided most of the commentary on Thursday morning’s show.

As the crew and panelists reflected on where they were on Sept. 11, 2001, co-host Joe Scarborough noted the “fight” that broke out on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday night as Republicans called a moment of silence for Kirk.
