The 88th annual Solvang Danish Days , happening Sept. 19–21 with a theme of “Be Happy – Vær Glæde!,” celebrates Danish heritage and features parades, music, food and family-fun activities in downtown Solvang.

4 p.m.: Free Concert with The Rincons at Midgaard Pavilion

4 p.m.: Axe Throwing opens

4 p.m.: Viking Beer & Wine Garden opens

7:30 p.m.: Torchlight Parade

8 p.m.: Opening Ceremonies with Danish Maid Addie Madrid

● Saturday, Sept.20:

8:30 a.m.: Æbleskiver Breakfast (Copenhagen Drive)

9 a.m.: Old World Artisans Marketplace opens

10 a.m.: Expanded Kid’s Korner with LEGO® tents

10:30 a.m.: Hans Christian Andersen Storytime at The Book Loft
