Anthony Rizzo came close to winning his second World Series ring with the New York Yankees. Despite all the rumors of the first baseman getting back on the team, things didn’t work out the way it was supposed to.

Rizzo decided not to sign with another MLB team for various reasons. The first baseman had a stellar career with the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and New York Yankees. Unfortunately, the former star decided to hang up his gloves and retire from baseball.

Rizzo took to social media to share a video of his journey in the MLB and announced his retirement from baseball.
