ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was taken to the hospital after a crash in Robinson Township Thursday morning, deputies say.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. at M-231 and Buchanan Street.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, a northbound pickup truck was pulling a small utility trailer that was "full of various items." The trailer became disconnected from the truck and went into southbound traffic.

Deputies said a southbound pickup truck crashed into the loose trailer, sending the trailer over a guardrail and into a ravine on the side of the road.

The impact caused the southbound pickup truck to spin sideways in the road. It was then hit by a third vehicle, which was also heading south, according to the sheriff's office.
