Both West Virginia and Ohio will be lowering their flags in honor of Charlie Kirk.

West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey has ordered flags lowered to half mast at all state facilities beginning at Noon on September 12, 2025, and to remain there until sunset on the day of interment.

“I just heard the terrible news about Charlie Kirk,” said Governor Morrisey upon learning of his death. “He was a fighter, a conservative warrior, and a friend. Please join Denise and I in praying for Charlie’s family and friends.”

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine ordered to lower the flags on all public buildings and grounds for Kirk on Wednesday evening.

DeWine said they will be lowered until P.M. on September 14, 2025.
