SHEFFIELD, Ala. (WHNT) — For News 19's Student of the Week, meet Paisley Weaver: The 5th grader who runs the school (and still does her chores).

When you walk through the doors of L.E. Wilson Elementary School, it’s hard to miss fifth grader Paisley Weaver — and trust us, you wouldn’t want to.

Paisley is everywhere: leading, helping, coding, dancing — and somehow still smiling through it all.

“I’m in student council, I’m an ambassador, I help with announcements, and I love coding!” Paisley told us proudly.

Her teachers say she’s one of Sheffield City Schools’ best and brightest, and it’s easy to see why.

Paisley serves as a school ambassador, welcomes new students, and helps out whenever she’s needed. She’s a self-proclaimed “coding whiz” and even took time to teach us a thing or two
