This weekend looks to bring back more active chances of rain and some very warm weather for the middle of September. Shower and storm chances move through the Dakotas Friday evening out west. By Saturday the main chances of rain remain in the Dakotas.

For nearly the entire region the temperatures warm up this weekend. By the afternoon we are above average with numerous spots in the 80s. There will be a slight east breeze to help cool off, but it will still be quite warm for this time of the year.

As we go into Sunday, the temperatures gets even warmer. Highs in the 80s expand and even some 90s begin to pop up in areas of South Dakota. Part of the temperature increasing is the winds switching to a south direction bringing in the warm up.
