WILMINGTON, N.C. (WITN) - Grant funding for YouTube-star and Greenville-native MrBeast has been approved by the governor.
Governor Josh Stein announced in Wilmington the recipients for the North Carolina Film and Entertainment grant, which included the filming of Jimmy Donaldson’s, or MrBeast, new season of the “Beast Games.”
The $15 million grant funded the second season that will be filmed in Pitt and New Hanover counties, says the release.
“North Carolina is home to a thriving TV and film industry, and it’s only getting stronger,” said Stein. “These grants support this vital economic activity that benefits small businesses and suppliers across the state.”
