A coalition of campus and community has been organized to prevent substance misuse and promote mental health among Utah State University students.

The Healthy Aggies Coalition brings the Bear River Health Department together with USU Student Affairs to foster a culture of health and and wellness among students.

Priorities of this new partnership include substance use prevention through education and policy advocacy, mental health support via campaigns and community engagement to strengthen prevention efforts.

Angie Hatch, from the Bear River Health Department, said the goal is to reduce substance misuse and promote mental health awareness among USU students, faculty and staff.
