NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police have charged a woman accused of leaving her two young children alone in a vehicle for more than a half-hour with the windows rolled up.
Obdulia Lopez, 30, faces two counts of child endangerment, according to jail records. A judge has since set bond at $5,000 on each count.
Police say the incident happened at approximately 12:40 p.m. Wednesday outside a store on Rivers Avenue. When officers arrived, the vehicle was already leaving the parking lot, police said in a release.
When they stopped the car, police said they found four children under the age of three in the back set, none of whom were restrained with seat belts or car seats.
“Surveillance footage confirmed Lopez had been inside the store for over half an hour,” the release
