A Sudbury man caught with a handgun and more than $200,000 in drugs in 2023 will have his time in custody reduced because of the poor conditions at the Sudbury Jail.
Christopher Armstrong told Superior Court Justice Alex Kurke on Tuesday that the local jail, where he spent most of his pre-trial custody time, is horrible.

“Yard (outside time) isn’t a privilege: it’s a right. You are supposed to have 20 minutes a day. You’re lucky to get 20 minutes a month.”
Armstrong had pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking and possession of a prohibited firearm. In exchange, the Crown dropped three other charges.
