Former Iowa State football quarterback Brock Purdy will miss 2-5 weeks with a turf toe injury, the San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday as first reported by Ian Rapoport .

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that Purdy hadn't practiced this week due to left shoulder and toe injuries he suffered in his team's Week 1 17-13 win at Seattle.

Purdy had an up-and-down performance against the Seahawks, completing 26-of-35 passes for 277 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also added five rushes for 17 yards.

But Purdy led San Francisco on a seven-play, 68-yard game-winning drive, which he capped with a 4-yard TD pass to Jake Tonges with 1:34 remaining in the game.
