Fort Payne police say a man who was wanted for a bank robbery earlier this week has been arrested.

Police say 62-year-old Mark Loveless, of Somerset, Kentucky, has been charged with first-degree robbery.

Loveless is accused of robbing a PNC Bank location in Fort Payne on September 9.

Police said he slipped a note to the teller saying it was a robbery and got away with about $3,000 in cash.

Loveless was taken into custody by FBI Task Force Officers from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky on Wednesday.

He is being held at the Pulaski County Jail, pending extradition to Fort Payne.

Police say Loveless may also face federal charges in connection with the robbery.
