DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — Bethune-Cookman University placed the campus on lockdown and cancelled all classes on Thursday after the school reported a 'potential threat' had been made.
According to NBC affiliate WESH, the private historically black university located in Daytona Beach was among several HBCUs across the U.S. that received the threats.
The Daytona Beach Department said it is investigating a reported threat directed at the university.
One University in Virginia is reportedly on lockdown as well, along with Alabama State University, and Southn University located in Louisiana, according to WESH.
