LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A major road in Lake County, Florida, could be renamed after Charlie Kirk, Lake County Commissioner Anthony Sabatini announced Wednesday.

Kirk was shot and killed at the Utah Valley University campus, where he was speaking on Wednesday.

"After the tragic event today, I’ve added an item to the agenda of our next Lake County Commission meeting on September 23 to have a major road in Lake County named after Charlie Kirk," Sabatini posted on Facebook Wednesday.

The commissioner did not say which road would be renamed. However, the post included an image that circled a road that appeared to be part of US 27.

"It will be in my district, the suburbs outside the Orlando/theme park area called Four Corners," Sabatini said.
