MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A Manchester man was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison after being convicted of assault with a firearm.

Christopher Lacerte, 22, was found guilty in March of a 2022 shooting on Tibbetts Hill Road in Goffstown.

Investigators said the shooting happened during a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend, who had gone to a home in Goffstown for her safety.

Officials said Lacerte arrived at the home and refused to leave.

The homeowner punched him, and Lacerte fired two shots, one of which hit the homeowner, who survived.

At trial, Lacerte claimed he acted in self-defense.
