YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- City police are investigating after several packages of drugs were found Wednesday in the ceiling of a downtown building.
Reports said police were called about 1:35 p.m. to a building on East Federal Street after a maintenance man changing air filters in the mezzanine of the building noticed several packages in the ceiling wrapped in cellophane.
The maintenance man and another person grabbed one of the packages, opened it up, and saw what looked to be drugs inside, so they called police.
Reports said police found a "white, pressed, crystal-like substance" that was in the package. Officers did a field test on the substance, which came back negative, but a police dog trained to sniff for drugs was brought in and sniffed the package and detected drugs, reports sa
