GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) - The Greenville County School District said a high school teacher has been placed on leave following a post on the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Wynne Boliek, a teacher at Southside High School in Greenville, was put on leave after he allegedly posted to Facebook following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, saying "Thoughts and prayers to his children but IMHO America became greater today. There I said it."

Representative Nancy Mace made a post on X (formerly Twitter) calling out the comment.

The Greenville County School District released a statement saying:
