ALLEN PARK — Nobody is in panic mode in the Detroit Lions locker room, according to offensive coordinator John Morton.

A lackluster first game for Morton and his offense hasn’t derailed any of their plans this season to become a high-powered offense in the NFL and Morton’s already encouraged by the response from his players leading into a Week 2 matchup with the Chicago Bears.

“The bottom line is this is about execution and the details of everything,” Morton said on Thursday. “And then, you know, taking some (plays out), a little bit less so guys are playing a little bit faster. So everybody knows exactly what to do. But I’m encouraged.”

Communication during the Lions’ game against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 was a major talking point from the players coming out of the game.
