The former Danville Public Schools employee who admitted to sending a message seeking sex from a juvenile on social media was denied bond in Danville Circuit Court on Monday morning.
Judge Brian Turpin denied bond for 26-year-old Clearance Austin, who faces 10 counts of production of child pornography, for reasons of public safety.
Austin worked for Danville Public Schools as an information technology media assistant from Dec. 11, 2023, until Aug. 11, when he was fired. The position “assists the Library-Media Specialist with daily media center operations,” according to a job description by the Danville Public School system.
