ALEXANDRIA — A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the construction of a new transportation center at Alexandria Technical & Community College .
The college secured a $24 million bonding project from the Minnesota Legislature to construct the state-of-the-art center, which will serve as a hub for two of ATCC’s flagship programs: Diesel Mechanics and Professional Truck Driving.
The facility will feature cutting-edge technology, simulation labs, and space for innovation in emerging fields such as electric and fuel cell vehicles. The center is expected to open in 2028.
