At the Tuesday, Sept. 9, Cardinal volleyball game, the team got off to a rocky, dropping the first two sets to Willmar, according to Head Coach Mary Byrne's summary in the Cardinal Connection.

The Alexandria team bounced back with a win in the third set. But, despite the momemtum shift, the Cardinals could not hold on in the fourth, ultimately falling to Willmar by a score of 3-1 in four sets.

Byrne said in the summary that Sydney Kracht led the team in kills with 15 on the night while both Campbell Jenzen and Larkin Rupert added six a piece. She also said that Hadley Marti led the team in set assists with 16 while Meadow Zimpel added 11.

The Cardinals were led defensively by Emily Doherty who tallied 25 digs on the night while both Hadley Marti and Sydney Kracht added seven a piece.
