NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — To combat rising traffic issues, one intersection in East Nashville will soon become a four-way stop.
The intersection of Woodland Avenue and S 6th Street will have new stop signs installed along Woodland, after the Metro Traffic and Parking Commission approved a new stop control proposal.
According to Metro Councilman Clay Capp, who represents District 6, that intersection was in need of traffic changes after a number of incidents.
"There is a significant crash history at that intersection, unfortunately, so there was a community need there raised by the community," he told News 2.
The traffic and parking commission addressed the issue after residents in the area and other community members raised it.
