SIOUX CITY — Residents now have yet another McDonald's option in town as the fast-food titan has opened a seventh location.
The latest restaurant recently opened at 3100 Floyd Blvd. in the Northern Valley Crossing business district nearly a year and a half after the Sioux City Council approved a $500,000 proposal for the 1.09-acre parcel of land. That amount was more than the city's asking price of $310,096 but lower than an offer of $560,000 from Arby's. Domino's was also competing for the land.
The Journal previously reported that McDonald's planned to hire 72 full-and part-time employees.
The new McDonald's is the second location on the north side of Sioux City following a store at 3093 Hamilton Blvd.
