“It seemed like all he cared about was offence,” Lawson told The Sault Star. “We said, ‘Alright, enough’s enough,’ and so we pulled him out, and I was giving it to him, one-on-one.”

Reid burst into tears, and it was at that moment that his mom, Magyn Reid, walked by. She didn’t shield him. She gave Lawson her seal of approval.

“I think that was kind of an eye opener for him,” Lawson said
