Change will be coming to Gift Horse and Oberlin, two of Providence's best restaurants.

Gift Horse chef Sky Haneul Kim, who won for the James Beard 2025 award for Best Chef: Northeast in June, is moving to South Korea to give birth to her first child. She announced her plans on Instagram on Thursday, Sept. 11. She also shared a photo of herself standing with her husband, Oberlin chef Chris Pfail.
