LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Wildfire smoke is causing hazy skies over the valley, causing Clark County to issue an air quality advisory for Thursday and through Friday.
"Air Quality forecasters indicate the smoke is coming from wildfires in the Pacific Northwest as well as the Garnet fire in central California," the news release said.
Poor air quality can aggravate respiratory diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, or heart disease. It's also advised that children, the elderly, and people with respiratory or heart disease stay indoors. • To avoid smoke, people are advised to limit outdoor exertion, which could cause a person to inhale more particulates. • Keep windows and doors closed. • Consider changing your indoor air filters if they are dirty.
