A regional trade group moved its office from Portland to Vancouver last month, joining a growing number of businesses making the move across the Columbia River.
Pacific Northwest Waterways Association, a trade group representing the region’s shipping industry, officially moved into its new office at 1610 C St. on Aug. 1, according to a newsletter from the organization to its members.
The organization got its start in Walla Walla in 1934. Executive Director Neil Maunu said Pacific Northwest Waterways Association is excited to return to Washington.
“The new downtown location offers greater convenience for our members and staff with improved access and parking, while also placing us near community amenities for employees,” Maunu said.
