For over 50 years, James Lawrence’s family has been loyal Florida football season ticket holders.
For Lawrence, who now resides in Honolulu, Hawaii, it’s never been a second thought to get rid of his tickets as he still makes as many home games as possible. The Swamp has been special to his family, as his grandfather, multiple cousins, and his dad are all alums of the University of Florida. Lawrence opted to go into the military instead, but shared countless memories with his father inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, which has almost been a second home.
But on Sept. 16, 2019, just before the Gators were to host Tennessee, Lawrence’s dad passed away, marking the first time he would go to a UF game without his father.
