One day after receiving a cortisone shot in his left shoulder, slumping shortstop Anthony Volpe was out of the lineup for a second straight game Thursday against the Tigers.

Volpe, who is batting .125 with 29 strikeouts in his past 21 games, received the cortisone shot on Wednesday , according to The Post’s Joel Sherman.

He originally felt “a pop” in the shoulder in a May 3 game against the Rays, but the New Jersey product remained in the lineup all summer.

Trade deadline pickup Jose Caballero made his second straight start at shortstop Thursday night.
