Twenty-four years after a newborn was found dead outside a Brighton auto repair shop, police are still searching for anyone related to the baby boy.

The sheriff’s office commissioned a comprehensive genealogical profile for the infant, but no definitive familial ties have yet been established, according to an X post by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office . The case has been logged into NamUs , a national resource center for missing, unidentified and unclaimed person cases, as UP10386.

On Sept. 11, 2002, employees of L&M Auto Repair noticed the infant under a bush outside the shop. He was wrapped in a blue blanket that said “Skate Bear” and had a graphic of a bear, the release states.
